Co-design process

  1. Supporting CGH residents in the knowledge of the “Woodstock Hospital Precinct – Pre-Feasibility” report (Stedone report) and of the report on “Maintenance Findings / Defects and Health Risks for Current Inhabitants”.
  2. Supporting the residents of CGH in a participatory and co-design process in re-imagining and designing a proposal for the renovation of spaces and buildings.
  3. To use various visual elaboration (manual sketches, or 3D modelling computer etc…) to make CGH residents’ elaborations and ideas visible
  4. To consolidate the partecipatory and co-design discussion in reports which represent steps in the elabora]on of a development proposal of the Woodstock Hospital Precinct.

Objectives:

  1. To establish the need of homeless /inadequately housed people for well located affordable inner city housing which offers a range of tenure op]ons and to establish a common vision for the redevelopment of the Cissie Gool complex.
  2. To ensure a clear understanding of the services provisions for the complex, what the maintenance challenges are, what the risks associated with this are, what needs to be done to remedy these and what prioritization needs to occur.
  3. To develop strategies around occupants having a direct involvement in undertaking some maintenance tasks and monitoring responsibilites.
  4. To unpack and assess the adequacy of proposals using Co-design strategies for the redevelopment of the complex to accommodate the varying needs of the occupants .
  5. To refine and augment these proposals and their representation based on more in depth engagement with the occupants
